Metalshielde Metal Clad Doors
The Metalshielde door can be clad using a range of material such as Zinc Anneal, Zincalume, Galsheet and Colorbond sheeting. Material thickness can vary from .55 mm to 1.20 mm. Metal cladding can be applied to the Flameshielde™ Mini and Maxi Fire Rated Doors as well as the Mantlet range of Solid Core doors.
Metal clad doors are selected for a number of different reasons, but mainly for added protection against the elements for external use. The addition of metal cladding greatly increases the security characteristics of the door, and is used in areas such as commercial access points, warehouses and factories, sub-stations and public buildings. Metal clad doors can be used in food and meat preparation areas where health and hygiene requirements do not allow exposed timber door edging.
Metalshielde doors are available in colour when ordering from the Colorbond range, or to a standard Dulux Powder Coating colour when using Zincalume. Zincanneal cladding is usually used where the door is to be painted after final installation.
Metal Cladding is done in a number of different configurations as indicated below.
